# File transfer & Data Sharing vs MX Player

The clearest difference is review sentiment: File transfer & Data Sharing at 44% against MX Player's 0%. File transfer & Data Sharing also leads on ads (none vs shown). MX Player's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (534 vs 161). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. File transfer & Data Sharing sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and MX Player sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MX Player holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 161 and 534 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of File transfer & Data Sharing's written reviews are positive against 0% of MX Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
