# ProDefence vs VPN Security

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ProDefence at 98% against VPN Security's 53%. ProDefence also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). VPN Security's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 179). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ProDefence sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days and VPN Security sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ProDefence holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Security has 1.2K ratings behind it against 179, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 98% of ProDefence's written reviews are positive against 53% of VPN Security's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
