# ProDefence vs SecurityLab VPN

ProDefence and SecurityLab VPN both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 98% of ProDefence's written reviews are positive against 40% of SecurityLab VPN's. ProDefence also leads on ads (none vs shown). SecurityLab VPN's advantage is ratings volume (971 vs 179). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ProDefence sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days and SecurityLab VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ProDefence holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SecurityLab VPN has 971 ratings behind it against 179, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 98% of ProDefence's written reviews are positive against 40% of SecurityLab VPN's.

ProDefence ships an update fortnightly, SecurityLab VPN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
