# Collar vs Live Aldar

The clearest difference is rating: Collar at 4.3 against Live Aldar's 2.9. Live Aldar's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Collar holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Live Aldar has 30 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Collar's written reviews are positive against 60% of Live Aldar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Collar ships an update fortnightly, Live Aldar every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
