# Shackpets vs Dulce Halloween

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Shackpets at 100% against Dulce Halloween's 50%. Shackpets also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Dulce Halloween's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shackpets sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Dulce Halloween sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dulce Halloween holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dulce Halloween has 115 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Shackpets's written reviews are positive against 50% of Dulce Halloween's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shackpets ships an update monthly, Dulce Halloween every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
