# Bruvi vs Current Backyard

The clearest difference is rating: Bruvi at 5.0 against Current Backyard's 4.3. Current Backyard's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 50%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bruvi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 35 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Bruvi's written reviews are positive against 80% of Current Backyard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bruvi ships an update monthly, Current Backyard every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
