# Pin Rescue vs Pull the Pin

The clearest difference is rating: Pin Rescue at 4.7 against Pull the Pin's 3.5. Pin Rescue also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months). Pull the Pin's advantage is ratings volume (482 vs 27). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pull the Pin sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Pin Rescue asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pin Rescue holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pull the Pin has 482 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of Pin Rescue's written reviews are positive against 15% of Pull the Pin's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pin Rescue ships an update every 6 days, Pull the Pin every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
