# MajorCalculator vs SpeechCalc

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MajorCalculator at 100% against SpeechCalc's 50%. MajorCalculator also leads on rating (4.8 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (37 vs 1). SpeechCalc's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MajorCalculator sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and SpeechCalc sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MajorCalculator holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MajorCalculator has 37 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of MajorCalculator's written reviews are positive against 50% of SpeechCalc's.

MajorCalculator ships an update fortnightly, SpeechCalc weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
