# On vs U/AWARE

The clearest difference is rating: On at 4.4 against U/AWARE's 3.8. U/AWARE's advantage is review sentiment (63% vs 50%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 12 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of On's written reviews are positive against 63% of U/AWARE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

On ships an update monthly, U/AWARE every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
