# On vs HamRadar

The clearest difference is rating: On at 4.4 against HamRadar's 3.8. On also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). HamRadar's advantage is update cadence (daily vs monthly) and review sentiment (67% vs 50%). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HamRadar sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. On asks for nothing beyond the download.

On holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of On's written reviews are positive against 67% of HamRadar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

On ships an update monthly, HamRadar daily. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
