# ToonClip vs Anime Filter

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ToonClip at none against Anime Filter's 2. ToonClip also leads on review sentiment (60% vs 29%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). Anime Filter's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 6) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anime Filter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. ToonClip asks for nothing beyond the download.

Anime Filter holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anime Filter has 1.6K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of ToonClip's written reviews are positive against 29% of Anime Filter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ToonClip ships an update every 3 days, Anime Filter every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
