# PilloFon vs Dot

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dot at 67% against PilloFon's 11%. PilloFon's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 1.9) and in-app purchases (none vs 12). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dot sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. PilloFon asks for nothing beyond the download.

PilloFon holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PilloFon has 173 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of PilloFon's written reviews are positive against 67% of Dot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PilloFon ships an update every 6 days, Dot monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
