# Aromat vs Essential Emotions +

The clearest difference is rating: Aromat at 5.0 against Essential Emotions +'s 4.3. Aromat also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 65%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). Essential Emotions +'s advantage is ratings volume (27 vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aromat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Essential Emotions + sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aromat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Essential Emotions + has 27 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Aromat's written reviews are positive against 65% of Essential Emotions +'s.

Aromat ships an update every 5 weeks, Essential Emotions + fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
