# MD Clock vs Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget at 100% against MD Clock's 47%. Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). MD Clock's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.5) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MD Clock sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MD Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MD Clock has 6.6K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of MD Clock's written reviews are positive against 100% of Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MD Clock ships an update every 11 days, Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
