# MD Clock vs Hyde Clock

The clearest difference is rating: MD Clock at 4.6 against Hyde Clock's 3.7. MD Clock also leads on ratings volume (6.6K vs 3) and device support (4 vs 2). Hyde Clock's advantage is monetization model (freemium vs subscription). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MD Clock sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Hyde Clock sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MD Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MD Clock has 6.6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of MD Clock's written reviews are positive against 54% of Hyde Clock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MD Clock ships an update every 9 days, Hyde Clock every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
