# SDBplay 2 vs EcoNet

The clearest difference is rating: EcoNet at 4.4 against SDBplay 2's 2.1. EcoNet also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ratings volume (14K vs 14). SDBplay 2's advantage is review sentiment (35% vs 16%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SDBplay 2 sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. EcoNet asks for nothing beyond the download.

EcoNet holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EcoNet has 14K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of SDBplay 2's written reviews are positive against 16% of EcoNet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SDBplay 2 ships an update every 6 weeks, EcoNet every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
