# Local Eclectic vs POPFLEX

The clearest difference is ads: POPFLEX at none against Local Eclectic's shown. POPFLEX also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (3.2K vs 405). Local Eclectic's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, rating and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Local Eclectic against 5.0 for POPFLEX. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: POPFLEX has 3.2K ratings behind it against 405, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 84% of Local Eclectic's written reviews are positive against 95% of POPFLEX's.

Local Eclectic ships an update every 3 weeks, POPFLEX every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
