# Lock Screen Widgets App vs Clock Widgets

The clearest difference is monetization model: Clock Widgets at free with in-app purchases against Lock Screen Widgets App's subscription. Clock Widgets also leads on review sentiment (40% vs 29%). Lock Screen Widgets App's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lock Screen Widgets App sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Clock Widgets sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lock Screen Widgets App holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lock Screen Widgets App has 1.1K ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Lock Screen Widgets App's written reviews are positive against 40% of Clock Widgets's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lock Screen Widgets App ships an update every 3 weeks, Clock Widgets every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
