# Luna diary vs Haema Diary

The clearest difference is ads: Haema Diary at none against Luna diary's shown. Haema Diary also leads on review sentiment (73% vs 64%). Luna diary's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Luna diary sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Haema Diary sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Luna diary holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 95 and 56 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Luna diary's written reviews are positive against 73% of Haema Diary's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Luna diary ships an update every 9 days, Haema Diary every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
