# Notecap vs NextRole

The clearest difference is update cadence: Notecap at every 5 days against NextRole's every 3 weeks. Notecap also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notecap sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and NextRole sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notecap ships an update every 5 days, NextRole every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
