# IELTS vs IELTS Prep & Test

The clearest difference is rating: IELTS at 4.9 against IELTS Prep & Test's 2.0. IELTS also leads on ratings volume (7 vs 1). IELTS Prep & Test's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IELTS sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and IELTS Prep & Test sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IELTS holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IELTS has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
