# Trib E vs The Texan

The clearest difference is rating: Trib E at 4.5 against The Texan's 3.7. Trib E also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (30 vs 3). The Texan's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Texan sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Trib E asks for nothing beyond the download.

Trib E holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trib E has 30 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Trib E ships an update every 4 months, The Texan every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
