# Rep E vs Emmett Messenger

The clearest difference is rating: Emmett Messenger at 5.0 against Rep E's 4.2. Rep E's advantage is ratings volume (99 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
