# VOLBotClient vs Mela

The clearest difference is rating: Mela at 4.8 against VOLBotClient's 4.3. Mela also leads on ratings volume (81 vs 4) and device support (3 vs 1). VOLBotClient's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mela sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. VOLBotClient asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mela holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mela has 81 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VOLBotClient ships an update fortnightly, Mela every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
