# Photo Compare vs Log It

The clearest difference is monetization model: Photo Compare at free with in-app purchases against Log It's subscription. Photo Compare also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (2.6K vs 1). Log It's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Photo Compare sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Log It sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Log It holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Photo Compare has 2.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Photo Compare ships an update fortnightly, Log It every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
