# VDPConnect vs AXIS Installer

The clearest difference is rating: VDPConnect at 2.2 against AXIS Installer's 1.7. VDPConnect also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). AXIS Installer's advantage is review sentiment (25% vs 7%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VDPConnect holds the better App Store score, 2.2 against 1.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of VDPConnect's written reviews are positive against 25% of AXIS Installer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VDPConnect ships an update every 2 weeks, AXIS Installer monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
