# Scientific Calculator * vs tool+

The clearest difference is rating: Scientific Calculator * at 4.6 against tool+'s 4.0. Scientific Calculator * also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scientific Calculator * sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and tool+ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scientific Calculator * holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scientific Calculator * has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
