# IMAX vs TslaScreen

The clearest difference is rating: TslaScreen at 5.0 against IMAX's 2.3. TslaScreen also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). IMAX's advantage is ratings volume (32 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IMAX sells 19 one-off in-app purchases and TslaScreen sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TslaScreen holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IMAX has 32 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 35% of IMAX's written reviews are positive against 40% of TslaScreen's.

IMAX ships an update monthly, TslaScreen weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
