# Hilokal vs CardWeb

The clearest difference is rating: CardWeb at 5.0 against Hilokal's 4.4. CardWeb also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days). Hilokal's advantage is ratings volume (772 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hilokal sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and CardWeb sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CardWeb holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hilokal has 772 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hilokal ships an update every 9 days, CardWeb every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
