# Timers vs Stella

The clearest difference is rating: Timers at 4.7 against Stella's 4.2. Timers also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timers sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Stella sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timers holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 49 and 26 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Timers's written reviews are positive against 77% of Stella's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Timers ships an update weekly, Stella every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
