# Personal Best vs IX NOVA

The clearest difference is ads: IX NOVA at none against Personal Best's shown. IX NOVA also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Personal Best's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 3). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Personal Best sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and IX NOVA sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IX NOVA holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Personal Best has 15 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Personal Best ships an update every 2 months, IX NOVA weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
