# Scheels vs SHIFT

Scheels and SHIFT both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of SHIFT's written reviews are positive against 59% of Scheels's. Scheels's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 31) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Scheels against 4.9 for SHIFT. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scheels has 14K ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 59% of Scheels's written reviews are positive against 100% of SHIFT's.

Scheels ships an update every 9 days, SHIFT every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
