# Scheels vs Bakcou

The clearest difference is ads: Scheels at none against Bakcou's shown. Scheels also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 29) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). Bakcou's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 58%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Scheels against 4.8 for Bakcou. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scheels has 14K ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 58% of Scheels's written reviews are positive against 80% of Bakcou's.

Scheels ships an update every 9 days, Bakcou every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
