# Greyscale vs MaskCall

The clearest difference is ads: Greyscale at none against MaskCall's shown. MaskCall's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Greyscale ships an update every 8 months, MaskCall fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
