# Craft DIY Tutorial vs MakerLog

The clearest difference is rating: Craft DIY Tutorial at 4.6 against MakerLog's 3.0. Craft DIY Tutorial also leads on ratings volume (542 vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Craft DIY Tutorial sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and MakerLog sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Craft DIY Tutorial holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Craft DIY Tutorial has 542 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Craft DIY Tutorial's written reviews are positive against 57% of MakerLog's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Craft DIY Tutorial ships an update every 2 weeks, MakerLog monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
