# SmartAccess Technologies vs GEST Connect

The clearest difference is update cadence: SmartAccess Technologies at every 2 weeks against GEST Connect's every 6 weeks. SmartAccess Technologies also leads on ratings volume (8 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.5). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for SmartAccess Technologies against 5.0 for GEST Connect. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartAccess Technologies has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SmartAccess Technologies ships an update every 2 weeks, GEST Connect every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
