# Espresso Scale with Timer vs Pour

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Espresso Scale with Timer at 100% against Pour's 44%. Espresso Scale with Timer also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). Pour's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (54 vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pour sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Espresso Scale with Timer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pour holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pour has 54 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Espresso Scale with Timer's written reviews are positive against 44% of Pour's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Espresso Scale with Timer ships an update every 9 days, Pour every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
