# Visual Timer for Kids vs Wedge

The clearest difference is rating: Wedge at 5.0 against Visual Timer for Kids's 4.5. Wedge also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 weeks). Visual Timer for Kids's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Visual Timer for Kids sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Wedge sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wedge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Visual Timer for Kids has 1.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Visual Timer for Kids ships an update every 6 weeks, Wedge every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
