# Stickies vs LockNotes

The clearest difference is rating: Stickies at 3.3 against LockNotes's 2.7. Stickies also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). LockNotes's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (41% vs 29%). On price there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stickies sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. LockNotes asks for nothing beyond the download.

Stickies holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stickies has 446 ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Stickies's written reviews are positive against 41% of LockNotes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stickies ships an update weekly, LockNotes every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
