# PicScratch vs 日杂相机

The clearest difference is ads: PicScratch at none against 日杂相机's shown. 日杂相机's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and review sentiment (95% vs 75%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PicScratch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and 日杂相机 sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for PicScratch against 4.7 for 日杂相机. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 日杂相机 has 1.3K ratings behind it against 58, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 75% of PicScratch's written reviews are positive against 95% of 日杂相机's.

PicScratch ships an update every 6 months, 日杂相机 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
