# PROClassicTV vs Retro

The clearest difference is ads: PROClassicTV at none against Retro's shown. Retro's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PROClassicTV sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and Retro sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PROClassicTV ships an update every 6 weeks, Retro weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
