# duoBooks vs Lella

The clearest difference is update cadence: duoBooks at every 2 weeks against Lella's every 2 months. duoBooks also leads on ratings volume (55 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Lella's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. duoBooks sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Lella sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lella holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: duoBooks has 55 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

duoBooks ships an update every 2 weeks, Lella every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
