# duoBooks vs Stories

The clearest difference is ratings volume: duoBooks at 55 against Stories's 1. Stories's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. duoBooks sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Stories sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stories holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: duoBooks has 55 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

duoBooks ships an update every 2 weeks, Stories every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
