# Canon+ vs GO Media

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: GO Media at none against Canon+'s 10. GO Media also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months). Canon+'s advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 19). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Canon+ sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. GO Media asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Canon+ against 5.0 for GO Media. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Canon+ has 3.1K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 84% of Canon+'s written reviews are positive against 100% of GO Media's.

Canon+ ships an update every 3 months, GO Media every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
