# Canon+ vs NXR+

The clearest difference is monetization model: NXR+ at free with in-app purchases against Canon+'s subscription. NXR+ also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months). Canon+'s advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 9) and chart position (#181 vs unranked). On price, rating and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Canon+ sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month and NXR+ sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Canon+ against 5.0 for NXR+. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Canon+ has 3.1K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 84% of Canon+'s written reviews are positive against 100% of NXR+'s.

Canon+ ships an update every 3 months, NXR+ every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
