# Strive vs Friendly Competitions

The clearest difference is rating: Strive at 4.8 against Friendly Competitions's 3.4. Strive also leads on ratings volume (3K vs 7) and review sentiment (71% vs 60%). Friendly Competitions's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Strive sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Friendly Competitions sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Strive holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Strive has 3K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 71% of Strive's written reviews are positive against 60% of Friendly Competitions's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
