# Motion Automatic Tracker vs Specialized

The clearest difference is rating: Specialized at 4.7 against Motion Automatic Tracker's 1.0. Specialized also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). Motion Automatic Tracker's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Specialized holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Specialized has 12K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Motion Automatic Tracker ships an update monthly, Specialized fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
