# TV Remote vs TV Remote

The clearest difference is ads: TV Remote at none against TV Remote's shown. TV Remote also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). TV Remote's advantage is ratings volume (627K vs 587) and chart position (#4 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV Remote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and TV Remote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for TV Remote against 4.6 for TV Remote. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV Remote has 627K ratings behind it against 587, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 21% of TV Remote's written reviews are positive against 15% of TV Remote's.

TV Remote ships an update monthly, TV Remote every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
