# WidgetArt vs Widget Kit

The clearest difference is monetization model: Widget Kit at free with in-app purchases against WidgetArt's subscription. Widget Kit also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). WidgetArt's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (50 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WidgetArt sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per year and Widget Kit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Widget Kit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WidgetArt has 50 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
