# Squirrel On A Platform vs Chicken Runner

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Chicken Runner at 100% against Squirrel On A Platform's 50%. Chicken Runner also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Squirrel On A Platform's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (17 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Squirrel On A Platform sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Chicken Runner sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Squirrel On A Platform holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Squirrel On A Platform has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Squirrel On A Platform's written reviews are positive against 100% of Chicken Runner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Squirrel On A Platform ships an update every 3 months, Chicken Runner daily. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
